This marriage register covers the period from 1901 – 1904. There are still many Dutch sounding names listed amongst those getting married and many of the traditional trades, cigar makers, tailors and cabinet makers are evident here amongst the community, who are predominately still living within walking distance to Sandys Row. Some of the more unusual trades listed in this register include: a tobacco shipper, sign writer, omnibus conductor, lithographer, photographer and commercial traveller!
